Truth hurts: Most Online press release sites will damage your business

Many online press release sites offer lots of submissions and the site sounds like you’re gonna be famous after you buy the package.

But if you get into the site links, you will soon find out that those are merely mirror sites built with wordpress with automatic, copy-cat articles. Not only you will not earn the reputation you have expected, but you will hurt your own website because the backlinks from most of those sites are low authority, spam-like sites with no original content.

Quality over quantity is true for many things in life, especially when you want to find a good press release (news release) service provider.

Recently I saw a few Chinese press release sites offering “distribution to hundreds of news websites”. Here I want to challenge them to give a statistics on how many real visits come from those sites.

Just one article can bring thousands, if not hundred of thousands views, shares and comments. These are real interactions and fulfill the purpose of news release.
